ARTISTS STATEMENT

“Why do I continue to create art? It is a drive within me to express experience truly the dichotomy of our passage in time. Having been an art teacher most of my life. I was given opportunities to have a diverse background in art media. Working in different media: pottery, sculpture, painting, graphite drawing, mixed-media, and jewelry, I never got bored. I just moved onto another captivating idea.

Altered realism would be an adequate description of my style. Influences of my art are reflected in my work, children’s unconditional love for puppies and kittens; love for flowers, figures of people in a better time, dogs and animals who remind me of memories from childhood, and unusual shapes in nature.”
